What is an AI team?
An AI team is a coordinated group of specialist agents working toward a defined objective. Each specialist has bounded responsibilities, permitted tools, and access to the relevant company context. Nodes calls an AI team assembled for a job a Decision Pod.
How the team works
A business goal or a relevant observed change can start work. Nodes organizes specialists to investigate, prepare a workflow, and coordinate its execution. The team keeps observing permitted records as work progresses and outcomes arrive.
For example, an illustrative vendor-renewal team could use one agent to review contracts, another to check usage, and another to prepare the proposed next steps. Required approval comes before execution. The workflow then checks whether later invoices reflect the approved change. This is an example of the architecture, not a customer savings claim.
What changes from one job to the next?
The specialists and tools can change with the responsibility. Relevant shared context persists under permissions, so the next team can use evidence already available to it. Creating a team does not give it unrestricted access or authorize a new production workflow.
Approval controls define which actions wait for review. Workflow orchestration coordinates the dependencies and handoffs.
